Summary
An oak and polychrome painted four post tester bedstead, English, basically early 18th century with later additions. The later cornice with pointed castellated top and a frieze painted with roses above a linen swag and tassel apron, raised on four chamfered oak posts. Textile hangings. The cornice circa 1800.
Provenance
Indigenous collection purchased by Ministry of Works in 1954 and given to Dyrham Park in 1961.
