Summary

A mahogany and leather upholstered sofa, in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster, circa 1790 Of rectangular form, the back arms and seat fully upholstered in leather with brass studding and with reeded and leaf carved turned front supports continuing to reeded legs and with a further pair of front reeded legs to the centre, brass cap casters.

Provenance

Indigenous collection purchased by Ministry of Works in 1956 and given to Dyrham Park in 1961
