Summary
Bowl in the form of a flower basket, tin glazed earthenware, circular with scalloped rim, two twisted vertical loop handles and moulded rope band to foot, standing on six low feet, Adrianus Kocx, Greek A Factory, Delft, Netherlands, ca 1686-90; hand painted in blue with panels of identical flowers to the exterior; the feet, rope band and handles in solid blue, the interior with two cupids amongst flowers including tulips, the inner walls with a continuous frieze of naturalistic flowers including tulips, roses and convolvulus.
Provenance
Indigenous collection purchased by Ministry of Works in 1956 and given to Dyrham Park in 1961
