Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Francis Dukinfield Astley (1781 - 1825) and his Harriers, by Ben Marshall (Leicestershire 1767 - London 1835), signed and dated: B. Marshall pt. 1809. A landscape of the Dukinfield estate in Cheshire, with the building known as the Hunter's Tower on the horizon of an extensive view; on the right Dukinfield Astley, in scarlet on a bay horse, raising his hat; further back riding to left is a horseman, said to be Mt Abel Wood, with two hunt servants; in the foreground hounds and the terrier.
