Summary
A walnut cassone, Italian, the front panel early 18th century, the rest early 20th century, the moulded lid with gadrooned edge, the front centred with an oval cartouche flanked by bearded grotesques or winged satyrs flanked by outer panels with naked female dancers either side of an urn, all within a fruiting border, the gadrooned plinth centred with a mask and on bun feet.
