Summary
Sevres bleu de roi tazza with lobed rim and foot, painted with a bouquet of flowers in the centre within an elaborate burnished gilt surround. Maker's mark - interlaced L's, date letter for 1777, lg - in script, painter's mark probably for gilder and painter Le Grand, three dots for one of the Tandart family.
Provenance
Said to come from the Collection of the Baroness Burdett-Coutts, and perhaps the plateau described as belonging to a cabaret set, lot 240 in the sale, London (Christies's), 9th May 1922.
