Sevres small teapot cover painted on a bleu celeste ground with oeil-de-perdrix pattern, the shoulders and border of the lid with a running acanthus arabesque pattern inhabited by birds. Interlaced L's, date letter for 1785, fleur-de-lys painter's mark, perhaps for Taillandier, and gilt mark of Sioux aine.
