Two Chelsea-Derby figures, i) Shakespeare after the statue by Scheemakers in Westminster Abbey, in crimson tunic, turquoise flowered breeches and yellow-lined turquoise cloak. Inscribed 'The loud capt Towers The gorgeous Palaces The Solumn Temples The great Gobe itself Yea all which it inherit SHALL DISSOLVE And like the Baselets Fabrick of a Vision Leave not a wreck behind'; ii) Chelsea-Derby figure of Milton, in white and gold flowered tunic, yellow lined puce coat and red breeches. 1775 (circa).
