Summary
Pair of Chelsea groups of Vendors, standing beside open laden baskets probably intended to contain sweatmeats; the man wears a black hat, silk coat, yellow-lined red cloak and turquoise breeches and holds a loaf of bread in his left hand; the woman wears a pink hood, cream coloured cloak, red bodice and patterned skirt on scroll base and holds a bunch of flowers in her right hand. Maker's mark - gold anchor mark. 1760 (circa).
