Summary
Six-fold painted leather screen, decorated with garden scenes in the centre (probably inspired by Chinese wallpaper) and with vignettes of birds, bowls of fruit and vases of flowers along the edges (probably imitating the borders of Chinese lacquer screens), English, initialled and dated 'TT July 1767', resewed and remounted.
Provenance
Bought from Brockhampton House, Herefordshire, in 1947, for £10.
