Summary
A pair of Queen Anne small sconces, the backplates of shaped pilaster form, cast and chased with a female mask, strapwork, scrolls and foliage on a matted ground. Engraved above with a Coat of arms and surmounted by an Earl's coronet. Recurved scroll branches, plain waxpans and shade holders with moulded sockets. Made by Pierre Platel, circa 1710. Makers mark only.
