Summary
A George II cup and cover, the lower part of the body and the cover decorated with applied strap work chased with scrolls and foliage and the moulded foot with a similar band. The double scroll handles capped with leaves and the cover with a baluster finial. The upper part of the body engraved with a rococo cartouche flanked by figures of Bacchus and Diana enclosing a Viscount coronet and the initial 'R' the latter also on the cover - circa 1730. The body bears the transposed hall marks of the late 17th century, the cover with makers mark 'TP' three times (Thomas Parr ?).
