Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Dr Robert Pepper (1636-1700), Chancellor of Norwich, British (English) School, late 16th century. A three-quarter-length portrait, seated, long grey wig, dressed in black robes and a white cravat and white cuffs. He was Chancellor of Norwich, He married Mary Brooke (died 27 April 1676 aged 34), daughter of William Brooke, a merchant of the City of Norwich. He died 5 November 1700.
