Summary
A mahogany and brass bound wine cooler or cellarette, English, circa 1770. With an oval hinged lid, three brass bands and handles to the sides, raised on square section legs and brass castors, lacking the original zinc liner.

Purchased with a grant from the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) from Edward John Peregrine Cust, 7th Baron Brownlow, C. St J. (b.1936) in 1984.
