Summary
A black and gilt chinoiserie cabinet on stand, Chinese Export, Early 19th century. With two panelled doors enclosing pigeon holes and four long drawers decorated in shades of gilt on a black ground, with landscapes, vignettes and medallions of flowers, on a linked trellis field. The stand with a pierced key-pattern border, on shaped legs and ball and claw feet.

Purchased with a grant from the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) from Edward John Peregrine Cust, 7th Baron Brownlow (b.1936) in 1984.
