Summary
A mahogany inlaid serpentine chest of drawers, English, circa 1770. Fitted with four long drawers, the upper drawer with a compartmented interior incorporating a small drawer to each side and with a baize lined slide. The drawers flanked by canted corners later inlaid with ribbons and floral garlands, raised on bracket feet.

Purchased with a grant from the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) from Edward John Peregrine Cust, 7th Baron Brownlow (b.1936) in 1984.
