Summary
A princes wood casket on stand, English, late 17th century. The casket with a domed lid, enclosing a later lined silk interior and raised on a stand with a single frieze drawer and twist turned legs tied by a shaped H stretcher, turned feet. Later brass handles to casket and stand.

Purchased with a grant from the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) from Edward John Peregrine Cust, 7th Baron Brownlow, C. St J. (b.1936) in 1984.
