Summary
Vase, glazed earthenware, in the manner of the designer Christopher Dresser (1834–1904), with a shape inspired by metalware consisting of a globular body and cylindrical neck with a pair of angled ‘bobbin’ handles (made up of small globular shapes), Wilcock & Co. (c. 1882–1904), Burmantofts, Leeds, c. 1885, decorated with incised and applied floral motifs and covered with sang de boeuf (oxblood) and turquoise glazes, with impressed marks ‘BURMANTOFTS, FAIENCE, 435’ and ‘H’.
