Summary
Pair of vases, porcelain, round, with trumpet-shaped base and rim and with a globular section in the middle (gu 觚 type), made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, China, Kangxi period (1662–1722), 1700–20, decorated in underglaze blue with stylised lotus scrolls, with an apocryphal mark for the Xuande reign (宣德 1426–35) on the base.

A gu was an archaic bronze drinking vessel from the Shang dynasty (16th –10th century BCE).
