Summary

One of a pair of jars (missing its lid), porcelain, of baluster shape, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, China, Kangxi period (1662–1722), c. 1715, decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze enamels in the famille verte (‘green family’) palette with a pattern of antique objects (bogu 博古) among floral and foliate scrollwork.

Provenance

Purchased by the National Trust with support from the National Heritage Memorial Fund, 1984.
