Summary
Silver medal commemorating Queen Victoria's visit to Aston Hall, Birmingham, on 15 June 1858. Obverse has young head of Victoria facing left, inscribed 'Her M.G.M. Queen Victoria visited Birmingham June 15.1858 for the purpose of opening Aston Hall and Park. They having been purchased by the inhabitants as a place for recreation. John Ratcliff Esq Mayor'. Reverse has view of Aston Hall and the inscriptions 'Aston Hall erected A.D. 1620' and 'Ottley'. Part of a box set (see NT/HUG/V/30a-h).
