Summary
Silver medal commemorating Queen Victoria's visit to Aston Hall, Birmingham, on 15 June 1858. Obverse has young head of Victoria facing right, inscribed 'Her Most Gracious Majesty Queen Victoria' and with the maker's mark 'Ottley Birm'. Reverse has two shields set within a laurel wreath and surmounted by a crown, inscribed 'John Ratcliff Esq Mayor' at top and inscribed around edge 'Aston Hall and Park was purchased by the people of Birmingham for recreation grounds and was inaugurated by Her M.G.M Queen Vicoria June 15 1858'.
