Summary
Silver medal commemorating Queen Victoria's visit to Aston Hall, Birmingham, on 15 June 1858. Obverse has head of Victoria facing left with inscription 'Victoria Regina' and maker's mark 'Pinches. London'. Reverse has border of thistles, roses and clover around inscription 'Exaltavit Humiles. In commemoration of the opening of Aston Hall and Park as a place of recreation for the people of Birmingham by Her Most Gracious Majesty June 15. 1858.' Part of a box set (see NT/HUG/V/30a-h).
