Summary
Silver medal commemorating Queen Victoria's visit to Aston Hall, Birmingham, on 15 June 1858. Obverse has head of Victoria facing left in medallion at top, surrounded by inscription 'God Save the Queen'. Below is inscription 'To commemorate the visit of Her Majesty Queen Victoria to Birmingham on the 15th June 1858, to open Aston Hall and Park as a public place of recreation. John Ratcliff Esq Mayor'. Reverse has view of Aston Hall and the inscriptions 'Aston Hall. Erected 1620.' and 'Bought (with 43 acres of park) by the people of Birmingham'.
