Summary
Coloured chalks on paper, Thomas Hobbes (1588-1679) after John Michael Wright (London 1617 - London 1694). A bust-length portrait, of an elderly man, balding, with moustache and Vandyck beard, in 17th century clothing, shoulder-length. The original (half-length) is in the collection of the National Portrait Gallery.
