Summary
An ash, cherry and elm Windsor chair, Thames Valley, circa 1780. The hoop-back with pierced vase splat and rear wedge with additional V-shaped spindles, the figured elm seat standing on turned straight legs with lower ball detail and with H-stretcher, paper label to underside of seat (torn) with name 'Lawrence'.
Full description
This chair is slightly unusual in that the leg profile seen here is more typically associated with comb-back Windsor chairs of the mid 18th century.
