Volunteers raised money to purchase the great wheel. It is thought to be of Welsh origin and around three hundred years old. As successful sheep farmers with abundant fleeces, Hannah would have stood beside the same type of early spinning wheel creating wool. The bobbins and wool carders on display were also used in the production of wool.
