Provenance
Part of the collection of armour acquired by Colonel Edward Wadham of Millwood, a late 19th-century agent to the Duke of Buccleuch. The whole collection was bought by Wadham at a sale in London. Some of it was kept by Wadham at Millwood; the rest was hung on the wall of the staircase at Dalton Castle. The armour in the castle was given to the Trust by the Duke of Buccleuch in 1965.
