Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Thomas Bowater Vernon (1832-1859) by British (English) School, circa 1855. A three-quarter-length portrait of a young man, turned slightly to the left, dark hair with side parting and sideburns. His right arm is resting on edge of a tip-up table on the left. Wearing dark coat, grey trousers and dark waistcoat. He is shown standing against a wall with view of a river beyond. Similar to HAN.P.80. Chairback bears the monogram 'TV',
