Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Sir Harry Foley Vernon, 1st Bt MP (1834-1920) by British (English) School, circa 1855. A three-quarter-length portrait of a young man, turned slightly to the left, gazing to the left, his right hand by his side and his left hand resting on a table on the right. He has a small neat beard and moustache and dark hair. He is wearing a dark coat, white waistcoat and grey trousers. He stands before a massive plinth with a pillar, a distant view of the sky can be seen on the left. Inscribed 18.
