Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Thomas Vernon, MP (1724-1771) by Vera Stanley Alder (Eglingham 1898 - 1984), 1930. A half-length portrait of a man, turned to the left, gazing at the spectator, wearing short powdered wig tied at the back with a black ribbon, blue coat and waistcoat edged with gold braid and with gold buttons, short white cravat. Copied from a miniature in the Hanbury Hall collection.
