Summary
Stipple engraving and etching on paper (oval), Death of Clorinda (after Angelica Kauffman RA) by Francesco Bartolozzi (Florence 1727 – Lisbon 1815), 1785. Clorinda is seated on ground to right with her eyes closed. Tancred stands next to her on the left, in profile to right, down on his right knee, holding Clorinda's right hand in his right, looking down towards her. After Torquato Tasso's Gerusalemme Liberata (1575).
