Summary
A portable WEM (Watkins Electric Music) Mersey Super 15 Hessey's electric guitar amplifier circa 1964. Black plastic covered casing with carry handle, four cone-shaped feet and grey mesh speaker cover with brass accents. Six dial switches on the top (Tone, Volume, Microphone, Etc.) and various plug-in points on the back above a brass grill. A bundle of cables with a two-pin plug and a three-pin plug is attached to the handle with green nylon string. The brass panel on the front with a logo made up of an upper case H in a black rectangle topped with a crown representing Hessey's Music Store in Liverpool reads: MERSEY SUPER 15 / CONTROLLED POWER AMPLIFIER. One of only a few made especially for Hessey's Music Store located at 62 Stanley Street, Liverpool.
