Summary
An octagonal Gazebo standing on a limestone base with two access steps from the garden path. The structure has three open sides at the front, panels each side of the opening are glazed and the rear three panels of ashlar stone are faced on the inside with Minton tiles. The roof is supported at the front by four oak uprights each standing on a pentagonal stone plinth. Arched wooden braces link all uprights and form the upper frame of the glazing. The interior of the roof has a framework of wooden beams covered in wood panelling with a central decorative wooden boss. The roof is covered in clay tiles with the ridges overlaid with lead flashing. Metal guttering feeds a metal drainpipe on the east side. The roof is topped by a cast iron finial. The square Minton tiles on the rear three panels are arranged in a diamond pattern, alternating plain turquoise tiles with ones having a floral design in green, orange, white and pink on a burgundy ground. Spacers are either rectangular in brown or square in white. The lower edges of the panels are bordered with burgundy tiles topped with a narrow border of maroon circles on a white ground. The octagonal tesserae floor has a design in blue, red, black, white and green of alternating squares with two central stylized floral designs bordered in red with geometric motifs in all colours.
