Summary
A metal hinged clasp for a religious object, comprising a rectangular brass backing to a nailed Christ crucified figure; above the head are incised letters : I N R I; to the left : JESUS . MEINE . LIEBE . ; to the right : .JAF . GEC ? C / BIGET. Flowers are engraved on the brass; there are two holes at the base, hinged to the sides with silver coloured metal in a leaf shape with a serrated edge; two holes are punched through; the whole is engraved with decorative devices. The rear of the brass plate has an engraved crest with initials : ? F ? S ? H ? / 1745.
