Summary
Counterpane. Border of coats of arms, and the central field adorned with the coats of arms with crest and supporters of Lord Buckinghamshire and his wife Caroline Conolly. There were also Hobart Bulls in the 4 corners. Norwich Shawl, of a type for which P.J. Knights was awarded a silver medal from the Society of Arts in 1792. Woven 4 metres wide without a seam. When the 11th Marquis took up his inheritance and residence at Blicking in 1932 he had the counterpane cut and displayed on the valance and headboard in the Chinese Bedroom.
