Summary

Lid from a water filter. Salt-glazed earthenware lid. Made by Lipscombe & Co. Cream/Beige top with round knob handle. Decorated with 3 lines of greek key pattern. Underside has tan glaze. Vent in rim. Impressed '4'. Stamped 'Lipscombe and Co's, Patentees, 93 Regent St, London'.

Provenance

Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
