Summary

Water filter with lid. Made by Lipscombe and Co. Beige, barrel shaped body with handles, applied text and impressed bands of decoration. Salt-glazed earthenware lid is circular with round knob and similar bands of impressed decoration.

Provenance

Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
