Summary
A pair of Chinese carved ivory pagodas. Chinese, possibly mid-18th-century, in tapering glass cases with bamboo-effect gilt frames and on white-painted wooden pedestals.
Provenance
Thought to have come from Marble Hill House, the villa of Henrietta, Countess of Suffolk (1681-1767), who was the aunt of John Hobart, 2nd Earl of Buckinghamshire (1723-1793).
