Summary
Textile Box 61. Five pieces of similar red silk damasks, of varying designs. BL64F. Textile Box 9/114. Nine offcuts of crimson moire silk damask. Three different styles and ages. Includes one shaped piece with yellow-gold braid. Possibly from the State Bed. One cut down piece with braid on two sides and linen backing patched, bedhead. Textile Box 62. Six separate pieces of damask, mostly silk, various designs and selvedges. BL41F. Nb. varying patterns which need to be separated out.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The Hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
