Summary
One of six frosted-glass, bucket-shaped coolers, with upright handles. The outside surface is acid-etched to create a frosted surface with vertical parallel lines to simulate a wooden bucket. Inside, above 4.5 cm up from the bottom is a ledge on which stands a clear glass liner with gently flaring sides and a hole in the centre of the bottom. The rim is chipped,1930s.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The Hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
