Summary
A set of six frosted-glass, bucket-shaped coolers, with upright handles. The outside surface is acid-etched to create a frosted surface with vertical parallel lines to simulate a wooden bucket. Inside, above 4.5 cm up from the bottom is a ledge on which stands a clear glass liner with gently flaring sides and a hole in the centre of the bottom. Five are intact, one with a chipped rim.1930s.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The Hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
