Summary
A cut-glass inkwell and lid. Early 19th Century. A tapering square glass bottle with a short cylindrical neck and ground rim, the rounded shoulders facet-cut and the edges bevelled, the flat base with a polished pontil mark. A silver lid with a beaded edge, grooved side and a knopped finial.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The Hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
