Summary
Seven small glass ink well liners, with outsplayed rims with rounded edges over slightly tapering, cylindrical bodies on flat bases, with polished pontil marks. The glass is quite thick and may have been for holding candles as they are similar in shape to brass sconces. All free-blown. English, late18th to first half 19th Century.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The Hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
