Summary
One of two small heavy glass square inkwells. English early 20th Century. A solid square body with a cylindrical inkwell, a raised cylindrical neck over which fits the lid, cut with a corresponding circle on the underside. Similar in design to larger inkwells BLI/G/29 and BLI/G/4.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The Hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
