Summary
Two small heavy glass square inkwells, one with the lid missing. English early 20th Century. Solid square bodies with cylindrical inkwells, raised cylindrical necks over which fit the lids cut with corresponding circles on the undersides. Similar in design to larger inkwells BLI/G/29 and BLI/G/4.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The Hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
