Summary
A mahogany and brass-bound, hexagonal wine cooler, English, circa 1780. The hinged lid enclosing a lead-lined interior, with carrying handles to the side and on a stand with square section tapered legs and brass castors. Some losses.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
