Summary
A walnut and floral marquetry inlaid cabinet on stand, English, late 17th century. The moulded cornice above a cushion molded drawer and a hinged fall front enclosing an arrangement of drawers and pigeon holes around a cupboard door. The stand with a long frieze drawer on six twist turned legs tied by stretchers on bun feet. The whole inlaid with floral marquetry panels. Oak and deal carcass.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
