Summary
A mahogany four post tester bed, English, circa 1765. With a pierced carved gallery to the canopy, the embroidered head board bearing the combined arms of the 2nd Earl of Buckingham and his second wife Caroline Conolly. The front baluster posts turned and reeded.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
