Oak openwork letter box, c.1900. Hinged lid with lock and a posting slot either side of removable rectangular glass inset. Stained oak. Fretted sides and ends. Flat block feet.

Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
